Project Description:

A central lake dominates this proposed development of three, two & one bedroom apartments for independent living which will include studio apartments for medium care & nursing home accommodation for high care. Three tiers of care were offered to allow partners to age in place with differing needs catered for.

All the buildings were designed to face north & be oriented to take maximum advantage of views to the Marina & Mt Martha. The main lobby area & reception are two storeys to give a sense of arrival & space befitting a development of this size and quality. The community facilities in the main building serve as an extension to the single storey with the sail structure over the boardwalk reinforcing the connection to water.

The village community facilities are were proposed to include a comprehensive library & reading area,numerous multi-purpose rooms, computer room, gym, hydro-therapy spa pool, outdoor facilities,theatre, entertainment lounge, dining room, function room & lounge room. Proposed materials will be a combination of rendered masonry & glass with elements of natural material including the local limestone & timber.
