Government Plans to Deliver Housing & Schools: The Federal Government’s $42b National Building-Economic Stimulus Package will provide opportunities and jobs in the Queensland construction industry

The Queensland Department of Public Works is managing the delivery of these projects on behalf of the Department of Communities (Housing) and the Department of Education and Training.

Briefing sessions reveal Queensland’s State Government Budget as follows:

Primary Schools for the 21st Century (new libraries, library renewals, halls and covered areas)
2008/09 - $112.3m
2009/10  - $1,236.9m
2010/11  - $975.9m

National School Pride Program (classroom renewals)
2008/09 - $71.6m
2009/10 - $167.1m 

Science and language centres for 21st Century Secondary Schools commences 2009/10 with a budget of $1b Australia wide.

Independent and private schools are also able to apply for funding. 

TVS Partnership is pre-qualified to participate in Government funded projects and has achieved a level 3 rating. 

TVS Partnership was established in Brisbane in 1947 and on the Gold Coast in 1987. 

In preparing your application for funding the TVS Partnership as architects have the skill and expertise to formalise your submission with the necessary drawings and documentation.  Key areas include:

· Site master planning and site analysis
· Assist with the formulation of the brief
· Sighting and orientation of new buildings/structures
· Sketch designs with drawings including plans, elevations and 3D models
· Schedule of materials and finishes
· Schedule scope of refurbishment work required for existing buildings/structures 

Following funding approval the TVS Partnership can provide full architectural services from design to tender/construction documentation and post-contract services.
