Project: Zen, Main Beach

Project Description:

Zen, as the name suggests, was inspired by a contemporary interpretation of Eastern Oriental metaphors, presenting a fresh interpretation of cultural icons and traditions into the trendy Main Beach high society set.

The proposed tower consists of 19 apartments, comprising a freestanding house, three townhouses under the tower (with plunge pools and courtyards), two apartments per floor between levels three to nine and penthouse and roof top access on levels 10 and 11.

The building form has symmetrical free flowing lines and incorporates a two way opening central lift core which would allow the residents to step directly into their unit. This provided significant additional income for this saleable space which would otherwise have been dedicated to non-saleable circulation space. The proposed building has an impressive two storey entrance lobby with a peaceful vista to the distant water feature reflecting the quiet landscape environment.
