Project: Allure, Surfers Paradise

Project Description:

Allure was designed to take advantage of the spectacular beach and ocean views, The development aim was to create the most unique and stylish apartments, contemporary in style, with materials and finishes reflective of the quality and style expected in multi-million dollar properties.

Allure contains 12 apartments each one its own level. As maximizing the beach and ocean views was paramount, the siting of the building, its planning and orientation were critical in the design process. Rooms to the rear were skewed at 45° to the main building orientation to achieve sight lines north-east and south-east to the beach.

The introduction of building materials such as powder coated aluminum cladding, bookleaf stone, rendered and painted masonry, reinforced the contemporary built form with strong horizontal and vertical elements.

The main design aim was to create an environment which reflects the emerging elegant and sophisticated Gold Coast lifestyle, while addressing the functional needs, responsibility to neighbours and the wider community. This was achieved through careful consideration of the sighting, scale and the streetscape appearance as well as through the incorporation of the universal access and various ESD features.
