TVS and ESD
TVS has distinguished itself within Queensland as a leader in the field of Environmental Architecture. Having developed the E.S.D. Office Fitout Guidelines for the Queensland Department of Public Works, TVS was instrumental in promoting sustainable design practices through its seven stages of sustainable design. The Queensland EPA has featured our work in a 10-minute video promoting ESD, which was distributed to all local authorities throughout Queensland
Our success in this field is attributed to our practical approach to implementing ESD using cost effective processes and practices. We promote the Environmental Brief process, co-developed with the Department at the University of Queensland, as a useful starting point for addressing the complexities of the topic.

Quality Process
Our firm has third party Quality Assurance through Benchmark certification with our processes conforming with Australian Standards for Quality Assurance.
The TVS Partnership practises Total Quality Management and won the regional, state and national 1992 Australian Small Business Award in the category of TQM. The 1992 Commendation Award was also received from the Australian Quality Council. In 1993 the firm became the first architectural firm, the first professional firm as well as the first small enterprise to win an Australian Quality Award.
The TVS approach to quality assurance is that quality cannot simply be controlled by a series of checks and reviews. Quality emanates from the essence and culture of a firm, which is an aspect the group has recognised and cultivated over many years, from staff selection and support, to striving for excellence in all projects.
The close relationship between the TVS management and its staff is an example of our method of operation aligning with these principles. We are committed to the encouragement of open and honest communication between all levels of staff and management and see similar communication as an essential ingredient of our relationship with the TVS client and other specialist consultants.
