Teske Surgery
Teske Surgery Fitout Brief
Brief:
This was a new tenancy fitout for a cosmetic surgeon. The clients
brief was open and it was up to the designer to develop a new look.
Areas to be included in this fitout were:
- Reception area for two (2)
- Large waiting area
- One (1) open office
- Three (3) Consultation Rooms
- One (1) Treatment Room
- Kitchen
- Sterile Area
Location:
Level 4, 15 Astor Terrace, Spring Hill, Queensland
Ambition:
- The fitout was to sparkle and shine.
- To draw inspirations from a popular make up colour palette to
bring out a strong feminine ambience to inspire and make feel
comfortable its clientele.
- To create an overall pleasant environment for patients and staff members.
Solution:
- The reception desk was designed to conceal all its workings to
leave the frontage with a clean uncluttered appearance. Its
height was brought up to the maximum height of 1300 to conceal computer
monitors & sorts. This is not usually a recommended height as
it can completely screen the receptionist off from the entry &
waiting areas but for this fitout it suited its purpose.
- The sparkle was shown in the special effects resene paint and the
shine was portrayed in the glossy maroon coloured back glass.
- The light timber floor to ceiling joinery formed a subtle
backdrop and provided smart compact storage for printers, files and
stationery.
- The Consultation and Treatment Rooms were positioned along the
window side to soften the clinical feel and let the natural light
stream through giving the patient a pleasant environment whilst
undertaking surgery.
Outcome:
The result was a strong sharp tenancy, vibrant with colours of lipstick
and eye shadow. The treatment rooms were functional as well as
inviting with an impressive outlook to the cityscape.
